A New Heroine Joins the Fight: In 1980 I had not met Lora Innes, nor would I for quite some time. I’m not sure she was even born yet. :/ [*Author's note: Actually Lora Innes was born April 9, 1980, which makes me feel even older, and in Kentucky that makes me old enough to be her Maw.

I asked Lora at MidOhio Con last month if she would revive the Comic Creator’s Alliance again this year. I was pleased when she said yes. I have to say that I love Lora absolutely to death. We seemed to hit it off immediately (we even traded out autographed copies of each other’s comics! How awesome).
But when I was taking part in the CCA fundraiser last year, this current series A Deviant Mind was tapping on my shoulder. It’s a story whose time has come. Not sure how that works, an old old story merging with a modern day problem, but I will continue to use this series to explore these issues. I can’t predict now how this is going to proceed, but I promise it won’t be dull.
