Hiraeth, (pronounced [hiraɪ̯θ]), is a Welsh word that has no direct English translation. The University of Wales, Lampeter attempts to define it as homesickness tinged with grief or sadness over the lost or departed. It is a mix of longing, yearning, nostalgia, wistfulness, or an earnest desire for beloved places of the past. Oxford and Merriam Webster define Hiraeth as: (noun) “a homesickness for a home you cannot return to, or a longing for a home that never was”. Tara finds the days following the Tribunal trial difficult, with waking dreams of strange places and people she has no recall of. Tara, Adrian and Asuka try to meet with Najimi for a weekend of research first, fun later. But some surprises are in store.
