Latest News From A Deviant Mind!
A Deviant Mind moves into a new phase and a new chapter in A Deviant Mind Volume 8: END GAME! Our eclectic cast of heroes and heroines soon finds itself embroiled in a chaotic Holy War with the Confederation, which has over the last five years pursued a covert takeover of its sector of the galaxy through capitalistic buyouts, insurrection and religious infiltration of the political sector.
Amid the plots and machinations of the wily capitalist villain Chess and the shadowy movements of the faceless villainess Prym, it is finally revealed what role the mad warrior race, the Riyaki, who have already laid waste to numerous other worlds, have played in the Confederation’s plans of conquest. This revelation keeps Tara dancing on the razor’s edge of damnation and redemption.
After an unintended hiatus, production is underway now on Episodes #36 and #37, and the webcomic queue should be filled through July 2018, at which time Pam will take another hiatus to wrap the series House of the Muses once and for all in its final form and get it off to print. Fans have been waiting breathlessly for the conclusion of House of the Muses since 2012, and there are only 29 pages left to complete on it. I think we can do this.

SYNOPSIS OF A DEVIANT MIND
Setting: This 24 page per issue, ongoing comic series, is a science fiction adventure set in the Galactic Empire, near the Alpha Centauri system. It’s told in first person, from the heroine’s POV, with alternating storylines told in Supporting Characters’ POV in subsequent issues.
Storyline:
The female heroine, Akari, aka “T.A.R.A. 152” or simply, Tara, is approximately 25 years old, height 5’9″ and is one of the warrior race of Riyaki from the doomed world Attalla V in the RimWorld sector bordering the Confederation and the N’Anaxian Empire.
Tara, a telepath of no small ability, awakens in a regeneration tube with no recollection of who she is and where she comes from. The insidious truth behind Tara’s amnesia is, she has a secret that makes her worth hunting–and it’s far more terrible than anyone could have ever imagined.
Wireheads have turned up across various sectors of this quadrant for the past two years now, but this is the first time the Imperium has ever recovered one alive. A wirehead’s body, the doctors and agents of AlphaBase–where Tara has been in regeneration rehab ever since they found her–have discovered, is completely infiltrated by circuitry.
Tara is taken into Imperial custody. A hunt begins to find out who she was and what is going on. When Tara takes it on herself to discover the truth, the more she learns, the worse it gets and she is soon on the run again. Tara begins to realize she may not be one of the good guys after all.
Through the course of the series we are introduced to a large cast of characters, hero and villain alike: Adrian, Tara’s love interest, who is an expatriate Confed who escaped the Deviant Quarantine camps of the Confederation and made her way to a new life in the Imperium as an agent. Adrian also strikes a friendship with the princess-in-exile Najimi, who herself becomes embroiled in a struggle to regain her throne from her older half-sister Rak’Entha, who engineered to eliminate her younger siblings and seize the throne of Waniokai for herself.
Leading them all is Shola, the Alpha Centaurian investigative agent with a talent for ferreting out the truth no matter how long it takes, and the twins Tayge and Lucky, two ex-Imperial military with tragic pasts who find themselves drawn into the growing conflict and forced to face down their losses in order to save lives.
